It’s an exciting time to be part of Financial Services. You will be part of a team working together to solve unique challenges, like how to better connect Australian property seekers with finance and mortgage advice.

The Financial Services purpose is to offer home finance and other financial services to those using realestate.com.au for their property search. Given the opportunity of the size of that audience, the FS vision is to integrate a consumer’s property search with finance though a world class digital seamless process.

This will be achieved by building innovative consumer search and property finance application experiences that integrate the mortgage distribution channels of digital, phone and face to face. The financial services team is accountable for strategy development and execution, working with our banking and mortgage broker partners to build our capability and product offerings, leading sales management and engaging across the other lines of business in REA.

What the role is all about

  • Be a key team member in the finance and data analytics team for Financial Services
  • Prepare and deliver accurate reporting and analysis to track business performance with insights and action
  • Provide ad-hoc support and analysis, ranging from key performance indicators, trend analysis, conversion performance to market and competitor analysis
  • Ability to work across multiple systems and utilise various tools – Excel, Powerpoint, dashboards
  • Support the Data & Insights Manager in day-to-day deliverables and be able to work cross-functionally and establish relationships across Financial Services.
  • Stakeholder management – ability to listen to others, tailor to the audience, collaborate and partner to achieve the best commercial outcomes
  • Be flexible to meet dynamic and evolving business environment and needs
  • Work well in a team environment and contribute to wider team & organisation culture

Who we’re looking for

  • 1-3 years of experience working in an analytical role – industry environment in a commercial capacity
  • Strong initiative, willingness to take ownership and a team player
  • High attention to detail with tenacity to problem solve
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfortable working with data to surface insights
  • Interested in career progression in either data analytics or commercial finance
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and stakeholder management
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications

Additional skills and experience that would be highly desirable:

  • Commercial finance or a FP&A background working towards CPA or CA
  • Data visualisation & dashboarding experience (Tableau or similar)
  • Experience using SQL or BigQuery
  • Mortgage broking industry experience, banking or sales organisation
