Where the team fits in

End-User Computing (EUC) sits in the Enterprise Tech Tribe within the Tech and Data team, headed up by our Acting CTO, Craig Templeton. The Tech and Data team is responsible for providing the technology and data platforms underpinning REA's products, services, and operations. The team consists of over 100 people, which are distributed across the SPACE, Enterprise Tech and Data Services teams.

What the role is all about

  • The Technical Solutions Engineer supports the company in the following ways: 
  • Designs and implements technical solutions to resolve technology issues or business problems for various customers and stakeholders within REA, driving operational excellence.
  • End to end delivery of multiple product initiatives using agile methods which align to the EUC Strategy as well as broader ETech Strategy.
  • A key escalation point for business-critical technical issues.
  • Play a lead role, mentoring the EUC team, providing technical direction and guiding team decisions.
  • Identify improvement opportunities within the EUC team and the wider ETech tribe – this may include (but not limited to) reduction of the cost of ownership of our systems, identification of system duplication and overall process improvement.
  • Contributing to the REA knowledge base through blog posts, brown-bags sessions and coaching less experienced members of the team.
  • Develop and maintain key EUC vendor relationships, driving accountability.

Who we’re looking for

  • The ability to solve complex problems, tinker with technology and possess a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Agile Project Management experience working within diverse project teams and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders.
  • Strong experience administrating and integrating a variety of SaaS based systems such as: Microsoft 365, Okta, Zoom, PagerDuty, Workday and Slack in a corporate environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows Desktop Platforms (Windows 10), Apple Mac Platforms (MacOS & UNIX fundamentals), as well as Mobile platforms (iOS, Android) 
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Video Conferencing and Telephony Support, Security, Malware, SPAM and modern technology practices 
  • Thorough understanding of mobile device management platforms, SOE/MOE deployment technologies and best practices 
  • Broad understanding of network concepts, (Routers, switches, LAN/WAN), troubleshoot and break down hardware and software issues. 
  • Understanding of best practice IT service management frameworks and experience using an IT Service Management Platform
  • Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment - #gsd (urban dictionary will help on this one!)
