YOUR ROLE

As the Finance Director of Bunzl's Australian & New Zealand subsidiary, you will be responsible for leading the overall finance function, encompassing FP&A, Governance & controls, financial accounting & reporting and transactional services.

Leading these functions from a balanced strategic & operational hands-on manner you will hold a strategic partnership with the MD and provide commercial insight to drive decision making. You will use your varied skills to uncover insights into performance, risks, and opportunities, shaping the strategic direction of the business.

Your role will extend to overseeing all facets of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. Upholding commitment to local regulations and Bunzl's stringent policies, you will ensure impeccable financial controls.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute precise financial strategies tailored to the subsidiary's goals and Bunzl’s vision.
• Leadership of the overall finance function.
• Foster a collaborative and proficient environment within the finance team, combining leadership with Bunzl's distinctive culture.
• Analyse financial data to extract insights on performance, risks, and opportunities that will shape strategic direction.
• Manage financial planning, cashflow, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
• Provide commercial insights into both financial & non-financial decision-making processes.
• Provide best practice leadership around governance & compliance frameworks.
• Provide due diligence support for acquisition growth.
• Ensure rigorous adherence to local regulations and Bunzl's exacting policies to uphold financial controls.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to propel business growth and operational efficiency.

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field; MBA or CPA qualification highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in senior finance leadership roles, showcasing extensive financial acumen and a proven track record.
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and their application.
• Demonstrate an in-depth grasp of Australian financial regulations, taxation intricacies, and compliance nuances.
• Exhibit outstanding leadership skills, fostering an efficient and harmonious teamwork environment aligned with Bunzl's values.
• Merge a strategic mindset with a proven ability to elevate financial performance, thus significantly contributing to Bunzl's business strategy.
