Where the team fits in

The role sits within the Customer 360 tribe in the Customer Marketplace Portfolio of Customer Product & Experience group. The tribe manages the platform and data that powers the best customer experiences. This tribe is accountable for different customer experiences like onboarding, contract management, managing agency and profile information while supporting sales flows. This tribe is also a Data owner and publishes foundational dataset making it easily accessible to draw insights and decisions.

What the role is all about

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the solution design and delivery of products and services in a collaborative team environment using agile methods. The role requires full involvement through the entire SDLC – from concept, discovery and requirements through specification, development, testing and release. You will be responsible for: 

  • Understanding complex business landscapes and clearly articulating business needs from a varied group of stakeholders; 
  • Translating business requirements into clear, concise, testable and accurate user stories & process flows; 
  • Validating and documenting business rules and scope 
  • Collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, Delivery Leads, Developers and Quality Analysts in the production of solution designs and specifications and ultimately, working software; 
  • Ensuring that requirements are understood using a variety of analysis and documentation techniques including the application of visualisation techniques to underpin joint understanding of processes and data; 
  • Identifying and communicating any requirement dependencies, issues or risks identified through the analysis process; 
  • Participating in estimation sessions by describing the requirements and clarifying any questions raised; 
  • Using your analytical skills to triage and support production issues; 
  • Facilitating and participating in team standups, retrospectives & iteration planning sessions; 
  • Communicating constantly with key stakeholders, team mates and other people throughout the company; 
  • Contributing to the REA BA Guild; 

Who we’re looking for

  • Ability to interpret business needs and guide the development of appropriate solutions. 
  • Skills in workshop facilitation and requirements elicitation techniques. 
  • Developed specification writing skills via user stories. 
  • Understanding of system architecture and design as a foundation to build knowledge of the Residential Customer products, services and core systems. 
  • Ability to converse with end-users, as well as technical and business stakeholders across the organisation. 
  • Solid understanding of all aspects of the systems/software agile development cycle. 
  • Developed problem solving skills and ability to look at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens. 
  • Effective time management and prioritisation. 
  • Experience using Agile and Lean methodologies 
  • Experience working in a distributed Agile team (desirable)  
  • Business, Commerce or Technical degree, or equivalent industry experience 
  • Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment - #gsd
