Where the team and this role fits in…

The Corporate Strategy team, led by the Chief Strategy Officer, drives the development and evolution of the REA Group Strategy. We aspire to deliver double-digit profitable growth and partner with the business to make this show up. We seek to grow organically or inorganically - both domestically and abroad.

The team is a ‘true trusted advisor’ to the ELT. We are involved in key strategic decisions and are in a privileged position to have a material impact to our customers, consumers and across our business.

As Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy you will provide strategic leadership and hands-on capability to:

  • Lead the evolution of our strategy, with a key role in the annual REA Board and Investor Day strategic planning cycle and strategic communication across the business

  • Partner with the business to drive forward the most strategic initiatives, focusing on delivering double-digit growth, uplifting consumer and customer satisfaction and evolving towards next generation marketplaces

  • Shape our Financial Services strategy across our mortgage broker business - Mortgage Choice, alongside our digital mortgage propositions

  • Recommend ways to engage our REA audience in our financial services products at the right time in their property journey.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of digital funnel management and conversion;

  • Consider how we continue to deliver value to our customers (Real Estate Agents) and participate in the proptech ecosystem

  • Guide international investment, designing strategies that cater to differing market dynamics and how we can accelerate profitable growth

  • Be key to the heartbeat of the strategy communication process, ensuring the strategy is well understood across the business

  • Be a progressive thinker, defining ways to future-proof the business in 3, 5 or 10 years time

We're looking for someone with…

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications: Commerce, Finance, Law, Engineering, Accounting or Business

  • Financial services industry experience (highly regarded)

  • Experience with digital conversion / funnel management (highly regarded)

  • Demonstrated experience working in Strategy teams and/or in:

  • Management consulting (Manager / Senior Manager level) (5- 8 years experience) and/or

  • In-house strategy role (5- 8 years experience)

  • Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset, can-do attitude, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver insightful recommendations, informed by sound strategic analysis using hypothesis-based problem solving

  • Strong commercial acumen, including qualitative and quantitative analysis (financial modelling, market sizing, competitor reviews)

  • Strong verbal and written communication with experience in developing Board papers

  • Enjoys leading strategic projects, managing cross-business teams and can quickly build lasting relationships
