As part of the Bunzl Group, Containit Solutions is an importer & manufacturer of specialised storage solutions which services customers Australia wide from their 5000m² NSW Distribution Centre. With a focus on design & quality, Containit are dedicated to bringing unique, smart solutions to customers creating productive, organised and safe warehouse and workshop environments. Containit work predominately with Australia’s largest organisations across a range of industries including Manufacturing, Rail, Mining, Government, Food & Beverage, Transport, and Utilities.

YOUR ROLE

When you join Containit, you’re not just joining an organisation, you are joining a family-like environment within a great team. Based in Erskine Park and reporting to our General Manager this exciting & challenging role is crucial in assisting with our strategic growth goals.

Specifically, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Assisting in developing new & existing products by managing all aspects associated with the product in consultation with the Design team, from conceptualisation through to production
• Reviewing products against relevant Australian and ISO Standards
• Creating complex 3D CAD models and 2D detailed production drawings to AS 1100.101
• Supplying info to our Mechanical Engineer to conduct FEA and calculation tests
• Collaborating with other business functions to generate product specifications
• Participating in Design Reviews within the design team and with other business functions to ensure products are optimised
• Creating packaging designs and requirements to ensure suppliers include costings on these and minimise damage to products shipping from overseas factories to Australia
• Creating assembly and use instructions to ensure staff and customers easily understand the installation, operation and maintenance of products
• Assisting in the sourcing of new vendors where required
• Communicating and collaborating effectively with all stakeholders
• Investigating risks associated with new and existing designs

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design or a related engineering discipline
• Advantageous to be a Weld Australia Approved Examiner (AE) registered on the AWCR system
• Adept at ideating innovative designs and recommendations
• Demonstrated ability to manage time by prioritising tasks and working to agreed time frames
• Strong work ethic, energetic & self motivated
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Attention to detail
• Competent in the use of Solidworks, CATIA or similar
• Competent in the use of MS Office
• A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work autonomously
• Experience in R&D and/or product development environments
