Where the team fits in 

Sitting in People & Culture, you’ll be part of the Learning Team within Organisational Development (OD). The OD team lead and drive all aspects of OD strategy, including – engagement & culture, talent & leadership, diversity, equity, inclusion and wellbeing, and learning & development.

The Learning Team’s focus is on building critical capabilities and soft skills across the business to support personal and professional career development for everyone at REA.

What the role is all about 

Day to day, the Senior L&D specialist is responsible for overseeing the enterprise learning offering at REA including:

  • Design, development and facilitation of soft-skills learning

  • Custodianship and facilitation of corporate induction and onboarding experiences

  • Promotion & awareness, driving enrolments, measuring impact & effectiveness of offerings

  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to understand needs and inform learning recommendations

  • Collaborating with external learning partners and providers

  • Working with the Learning & OD coordinator to optimise our integrated learning experiences within the learning management platform

  • Occasional travel interstate to deliver learning experiences to our REA family beyond the Melbourne office. 

Together with the Head of Learning and Development, this role will also have the opportunity to contribute to of strategic learning initiatives relating to building critical skills and enabling career growth and mobility.

Skills and experience you’ll bring

  • Several years’ experience in instructional design & facilitation of soft skills (e.g., feedback, team building, communication, influencing, presenting etc) in both face to face and virtual workshop/webinar formats.

  • Experience partnering with diverse stakeholders (e.g., leaders, HR BPs, OD team) to conduct training needs analysis and inform learning recommendations and solutions.

  • Experience in overseeing the day to day operations of a learning function
