With us, you’ll experience impact. You’ll be part of our Search and Listings squad, which is part of the Marketplace tribe within our Consumer Product & Experience business. We have a unique opportunity to transform the property search experience for Australians. You’ll be joining a group of highly skilled individuals who have a passion for all things engineering. We pride ourselves in delivering high quality, cutting edge and sustainable code. We own more than 20 systems in various languages including Scala, Java & JavaScript, and embrace a mature continuous deployment pipeline. We embrace the federated product delivery model
What the role is all about
Designing, coding, testing, deploying, and maintaining applications.
Keeping our production applications stable and healthy.
Leading the implementation of major features.
Inform delivery planning and technical design by providing a balanced view of options, effort and quality considerations.
Keep abreast of the latest technology advancements to inform product and technical design.
Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of products, technology, process and team development.
Actively develop skills and experience through continual learning and evaluation.
Providing technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced members of the team.
Who we’re looking for
Skills in a backend language such as Java or Scala + API development.
Skills in core web development technologies such as JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS & modern web applications frameworks (e.g. React).
Experience in modern software development techniques such as test-driven development and continuous delivery.
Able to be effective in a collaborative team environment.
Able to adapt and thrive in an evolving environment.
Excellent relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills.
Strong learning agility.
