About the role

In this role you’ll join the Payments Service team to deliver of our PayTo initiative for our New Payments Platform. This is an exciting role as you will be involved in improving and building capability. You’ll join a team with a good culture who pride themselves on being supportive and passionate about what they do. You’ll get the opportunity to develop microservices and APIs, whilst also having access to learning and development platforms plus the opportunity to get certified in cloud technologies.

  • This is a 12 month fixed term contract (you’ll get a salary plus employee benefits)

 Key responsibilities include:

  • End to end development - analysing, coding, testing and automation of the testing, deployment, and operational monitoring of your work.
  • Delivering solutions to create value for us and our customers.
  • Deliver APIs and Microservices.
  • Develop in and mature secure, continuous delivery pipelines (DevOps, CI/CD environment).
  • Be part of a cross functional scrum team, sometime flexing up and down to play other roles in the team.

About you

  • Demonstrated Software Engineering experience ideally within an enterprise environment such as banking.  Knowledge of Payment Platforms will be beneficial.
  • Experience coding in a DevOps environment to develop API’s and microservices. Ability to work in an agile/waterfall environment as a well as comfortable using Jira/Confluence.
  • Experience developing cloud applications via AWS, GCP OR Azure.
  • You’ll have experience in: Java and NodeJS, Open API standard such as Git.
  • You’ll thrive in a changing environment, and you’ll enjoy thinking of creative solutions to implement with the user and future in mind.
