About the role:
Perform Testing and Inspection duties in accordance with relevant Australian and International Standards
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining the timely processing flow of works within the testing and repair area as required
- Carrying out in-house inspections on Lifting Rigging and Height Safety Equipment and associated products
- Perform inspections and repairs customers goods inline with company timelines and expectations
- Competently operate the Vertical and Horizontal Test Machines, and Height Safety drop tower, chain cutters, plasma cutter and associated testing machinery & equipment
- Perform tests in the field where required
- Sign off on test certificates where approved to do so
- Liaise with customers regarding testing and repair work
- Ensure all testing equipment e.g., measuring equipment, machinery and load cells are always maintained in a clean and usable state
- Undertake regular & required training internal, external (where applicable) and self-delivered on Australian Standards and the company’s LQM
- Provide training & collaboration to new & existing staff within the company
- Maintain required cleanliness of the work areas
- Engage & perform safety walks when required
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner including the wearing of appropriate PPE gear
- Any other tasks requested of you by your Manager /Supervisor
- Assist where required in other areas of the business such as stores, wire rope and chain assembly areas.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role will be desirable but not essential
- Demonstrates technical knowledge of techniques, skills, equipment, procedures, and materials.
- Forklift Licence LF
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
