THE ROLE
The Head of Data & Analytics will be a strategic leader that enjoys building relationships with key business and IT stakeholders across the Bunzl APAC region.
As a member of the IT team, you will have responsibility for developing Bunzl’s data strategy and information architecture. This will include developing a roadmap to achieve the objectives of the data strategy. While strategic in focus, this role will also require a strong hands-on technical background.
The role will establish the master data management governance principles for the organisation, specify the requirements of a master data management technology platform and project manage the implementation of those technologies.
As the team grows, responsible for leading the data & analytics team.
YOUR PROFILE
- Relevant degree qualified
- 3+ years of experience of data governance, preferably as a data governance manager
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture and data management, preferably as a data architect
- Experience leading and developing a team of data & analytics experts
- Proven experience developing and implementing data strategies
- Advanced experience with data visualisation tool Power BI
- Demonstrable experience working with Azure data services stack (formal qualifications would be a bonus)
- Excellent understanding of data management such as master data management, data quality management, metadata management, data governance
- Experience in one of master data management solutions such as Tibco, Stibo, Informatica looked upon favourably
- Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
- Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies
- An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
