YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a Safety Support Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs and policies across the company. The Safety Support Coordinator will work closely with various departments to identify safety hazards, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures
• Conducting safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks
• Providing safety training and support to employees and contractors
• Coordinating incident investigations and developing corrective action plans
• Managing safety data and records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Assisting with the management of safety-related equipment and supplies
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety across the organisation

ABOUT YOU

• 2+ years of experience in a safety-related role in compliance with New Zealand safety regulations and standards
• Knowledge of New Zealand safety regulations and standards (e.g. Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018)
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety-related software programs
• Relevant certification(s) (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, NZISM) preferred but not required
