About the role

Our Business Banking Division has embarked on a significant transformation program with a focus on improving both our customer and our employee experience. As an Associate you will be part of a small team of Analysts, Associates and Senior Associates who support a localised hub of Business Bankers and customers. In line with our customer value proposition to make business personal, you will build strong relationships with our customers via phone and email.

In this role you will:

  • Support our Business Bankers to manage and develop strong customer relationships
  • Liaise with customers and key stakeholders to ensure an efficient and amazing service is provided to our customers
  • Financial analysis, security structuring, completion of credit submissions and adherence to policy and procedures for all lending approvals for business lending typically in the range of $1-5 million.
  • Manage the end-to-end loan application process and accurately prepare and administer loan files
  • Ensure scheduled reviews are completed within agreed time limits
  • Conduct customer needs analysis to match appropriate products and support cross selling opportunities
  • Mentor and coach: grow our Analyst’s financial analysis and credit writing skills and be the first port of call for their queries

This is a full time, permanent position. As part of our SA team, you will be based at our Adelaide office.  You will become part of a company with a great culture and a supportive and collaborative team with a focus on high performance.

To be the successful candidate, it is essential that you have:

  • Advanced Financial acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of business structures and experience conducting financial analysis including ability to analyse and interpret financial and cash flow statements
  • Strong interpersonal & relationship building skills with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and the ability to be flexible and remain organised and multi-task in a busy role

Additional experience that would be advantageous:

  • Knowledge of banking regulations, policies, procedures and the range of a bank’s products and services
  • Understanding of the end-to-end business lending process, including the annual review process.
  • Credit assessment skills, the ability to structure security arrangements and experience writing credit submissions
  • Exposure to business/commercial loans with complex lending up to $5 million
  • Tertiary qualification in a business-related field
