YOUR ROLE
By leading and motivating your high-performing team, this role is vital to the successful running of our local operations and the delivery of service excellence to our clients. Managing the team, you will assign daily tasks, manage the warehouse workload, ensure warehouse consumables are maintained for daily use and establish the smooth receipt and dispatch of good and products.
The wellbeing and morale of the team is also in your hands, so ensuring overall safety compliance, providing regular team communications, managing effective labour planning, plus coaching and development are key to your success and that of the team.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Daily resource planning
- Productivity management
- Upskilling and training staff
- Developing and maintaining a good culture
Our warehouse environment is fast-paced and full of variety each and every day. You will have exposure to all areas of the Warehousing and Logistics operations, and support and guidance from senior management.
ABOUT YOU
You will have the same entrepreneurial spirit we live and breathe here at Bunzl and experience in a similar supervisor role even though you are part of the team. Effective communication skills, the ability to liaise with different departments and key stakeholders, and a focus on customer service excellence is also apart of your sill set..
The other essentials we are looking for are:
- Proven experience managing a team
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (QAD)
- Conflict resolution skills
- Ability to train and coach your team members
The following is advantageous but not essential:
- Forklift licence and experience
- Experience with Healthcare products
