The Remuneration Manager sits within the People & Culture team. From building management capability and the next generation of leaders, to creating a diversity and inclusion strategy which is mainstreamed and embedded into everything we do – the People & Culture team is all about making REA Group a great place to work. What the role is all about:
The purpose of this role is to provide specialist remuneration support within the People & Culture team, providing thought leadership and ensuring that our key strategies and processes meet business needs and deliver the desired outcomes.
While no two days are likely to be the same in this role, typical activities will include:
Oversee the operation of REA’s remuneration framework, ensuring that the framework and associated pay structures remain fit for purpose and are competitive within our various markets for talent
Continue to integrate the remuneration framework into the business so we can achieve a greater level of transparency
Oversee cyclical remuneration reviews to ensure a good user experience that is accurate, on time and continues to further align REA with their remuneration philosophy
Contribute perspective and thought leadership in all areas of remuneration to ensure that REA’s remuneration strategy remains aligned with our evolving and diverse business needs
Working with Finance and, where appropriate, external experts to act as an advisor to the CPO, CEO and the HR Committee to ensure that stakeholders have all of the information they need to make informed decisions
Working with Finance and, where appropriate, external experts to develop all HR Committee papers to the required standard and timeframes
Oversee the implementation of all HR Committee decisions and ensure these decisions are communicated as required
Working with Finance to develop the annual Remuneration Report and contribute as necessary in the build up to the AGM
Oversee all share plan administration ensuring that all plan documentation is accurate, and that grants and vesting schedules are adhered to
Act as an advisor to the business on all ad-hoc remuneration requirements.
What we’re looking for
Demonstrated remuneration expertise including design and implementation of strategy, Incentive Plans, Equity and Annual Review processes
Great communication and stakeholder management – to explain complex programs to employees and key stakeholders at all levels of the business, including ELT
A proactive and continuous improvement mindset to ensure effective application of remuneration plans to support business objectives
A desire to work collaboratively across the P&C function and be the subject matter expert across the group
