About the role

Join the Product Pricing and Commissions Service which operates under the Account Processing Practice. The Practice has the primary responsibility for processing real time, event driven and batch account transactions, driving simplification of the Core Banking application landscape through consolidation of multiple applications onto a desired single state. The Practice relies on number of Services to enable the execution of this strategy.

You will help drive the successful implementation of DevOps capabilities in the Product Pricing and Commissions Service with a strong focus on the design, build, deployment and support of cloud.

In this role you’ll get to:

• Have effective and appropriate Incident, Problem, Configuration, change and Release Management according to technology and Group standards
• Be responsible for Service continuity and production/application support in line with SLAs and ensuring that all elements required to restore their service are known and in place in the event of a crisis
• Work with stakeholders to identify and implement the most optimal on-prem and cloud-based solutions for the company
• Plan, design, implement and support of on-prem and cloud-based platforms and tools
• Manage production and non-production environments in accordance with enterprise security architectures

About you

You will have a solid technical background/understanding in Infrastructure Engineering Software Engineering and Cloud. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

• An understanding of the practical use of emerging technologies
• Experience and knowledge working with CI/CD pipelines (advantageous: Gitlab)
• Experience with AWS (advantageous: Google Cloud), Kubernetes and Docker
• Familiarity with at least one modern programming language (Java, Node.js, Python, etc)
• Experience with the Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience with Full Stack Applications, Containerised environments, micro-serviced architectures and understanding what enterprise architecture 'looks like' and why it should change would be desirable
