What we’re doing
The Senior Product Manager sits within the Customer Group focussing on the Residential market in the Advertising Portfolio, reporting into our Executive Manager Chris Bride. Within the Residential advertising portfolio, the remit of this role will include discovery and delivery of enhancements to the core Residential Advertising product set.
At the core of what we do, the Residential team helps real estate agents and agencies sell and rent residential property on our flagship realestate.com.au experience by providing solutions to address the variety of needs. Our Product Solutions are focused around:
Core Search: Products to target active buyers in the core realestate.com.au search experience
Premium Positions: Products to stand out in the market by putting the property and brand ‘front & centre’ to an active audience
Offsite Audience: Products that target the right audience when they aren’t on realestate.com.au (web, socials, email)
Day to day you can expect to deliver on the following…
Leading discovery and analysis on evolving our advertising offering with a focus on pricing and packaging. You will need to partner closely with pricing, marketing, sales and other key functions
Review the existing product portfolio to optimise and find growth
Building the roadmap for your squad to deliver on the highest value initiatives through partnering with other dependent teams across the Group
Leading the product changes taking into consideration the technical system impacts, experience changes and customer journey across multiple touch points
Collaborate across the Customer Group to find benefits for Developer and Commercial markets
Bring a commercially minded view to the product discovery process, understanding REA’s business model and market dynamics of agents and agencies.
Build close relationships with customers, our sales and operations teams to ensure our products meet market needs.
Be an advocate and champion for the value that your product set delivers.
Build and maintain relationships across different functions and teams to leverage group capabilities to ensure successful delivery of your product plans.
Keep a watchful eye on competitors, market changes, potential partners, developing predictions on how the market is changing and helping define where REA needs to be positioned in the future
Have fun tackling interesting problems with really great people.
Who we’re looking for
A product rockstar – you will have at least 7 years' experience in digital product management, preferably having some experience working in either marketplaces or with SaaS products.
Commercially savvy – you will be comfortable talking numbers. You’ll be capable of evaluating opportunities on a risk and return basis and you will have prior experience of pricing and packaging approaches.
Strategic thinker – you can analyse and synthesise information on the market and connect the dots to determine an appropriate strategic approach whilst taking a whole of business perspective.
Customer focus – you will be very comfortable being close to customers, understanding their challenges and both their known and unarticulated needs.
Product marketing – you have a strong ability to craft a compelling value proposition and work as ‘partner’ with marketing, sales and support functions to deliver product to market.
You are an awesome communicator and problem solver – can talk shop with the developers, chat with customers and pitch a business case to executives.
You are someone who can engage and motivate others – experienced partnering with Design and Engineering in an Agile/Lean environment.
You are a fast-paced leader who will love the accountability attached with driving a key pillar of our future!
