About the role

The main purpose of the Integration Engineer is to deliver and support high quality technology solutions that create value for the organisation and our customers.

You will be responsible for delivery and support of modern integration capabilities within the Origination Service for its entire lifecycle.  Working within the Origination Service you may intersect with multiple Practices eg Lending, Platforms, Infrastructure, Info Sec.  The team operate as Agile Squads to achieve a high level of performance and quality, delivering on initiatives that provide exceptional business value to users.

In this role, you’ll get to:

• Refine requirements and collaborate with stakeholders
• Coding, testing and test automation, deployment and operational monitoring
• Actively engage in the development community to adapt new skills and share knowledge with peers
• Collaborate with Practice and Solution Architects to design products that are resilient, high-available and fit the technology roadmap
• Motivation to uplift the DevOps culture in the team and propose solutions to decrease lead time and improve system stability
• Participate in the 24x7 on-call roster as part of Incident Management
• Contribute to our team planning, present work completed at showcase and provide continuous feedback to your team and peers

About you

You will have a solid technical background/understanding in Cloud, Integration Engineering, Software Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering.  Including a solid understanding of the practical use of emerging technologies as cloud native tools.

To be successful in the role you will have:

• Good understanding on different Enterprise Integration Patters and modern architectures and patterns as Microservices, along with its implications and trade-offs
• Experience writing good quality automation tests, abstracting dependencies and balancing the volume of unit and integration tests
• Solid container (Docker) and container orchestration knowledge (Kubernetes). Experience with Kong would be desirable.
• Solid knowledge on application integration patterns (eg. queues, REST API, ESB) and lower level architecture (eg, Hexagonal, Clean, DDD patterns) to review peers work and propose solutions
• Implement technical solutions using best testing practices (eg. TDD). Knowledge in at least one programming language and common frameworks related to it (eg. Java/SpringBoot, NodeJS/Express)
• Everything as code mentality and propose automation to increase agility
