About the role
Our Business Banking Division has embarked on a significant transformation program with a focus on improving both our customer and our employee experience. As a Senior Associate you will be part of a small team of Analysts, Associates and Senior Associates who support a localised hub of Business Bankers and customers. In line with our customer value proposition to make business personal, you will build strong relationships with our customers via phone and email as well as having the opportunity to join in on customer visits at times.
As a senior member in the support team you will:
have exposure to our larger and more complex customers and write credit up to $10 million.
play a key mentoring and coaching role: helping to grow the team’s financial analysis and credit writing skills and being the first port of call for their queries.
have the opportunity to further develop your skills by relieving for the Team Leader and for vacant Business Bankers when needed

We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team and who takes genuine care in supporting their customers, plus:
Advanced understanding of the end-to-end lending process, including the annual review process.
Financial analysis and credit assessment skills, including the ability to structure security arrangements, analyse and interpret financial and cash flow statements and experience writing credit submissions for business/commercial loans with complex lending up to $10 million
Knowledge of banking regulations, policies and procedures and the full range of the bank’s products and services.
Strong interpersonal & relationship building skills with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
High attention to detail and the ability to be flexible and remain organised and multi-task in a busy role
