About the role 

Our Business Banking Division has embarked on a significant transformation program with a focus on improving both our customer and our employee experience. As an Analyst you will be part of a small team of Analysts, Associates and Senior Associates who support a localised hub of Business Bankers and customers. In line with our customer value proposition to make business personal, you will build strong relationships with our customers via phone and email.  

In this role you will:  

  • Provide an amazing service to our customers through timely responses and accurate and efficient processing of documentation 

  • Manage the end-to-end loan application process for business lending up to $1 million, including application forms, preparation of credit submissions, settlement and loan file administration and maintenance 

  • Assist the team to ensure adherence to policy and procedures at all times and scheduled reviews are completed within agreed time limits  

  • Support our Business Bankers to manage and develop strong customer relationships  

  • Conduct customer needs analysis to match appropriate products and support cross selling opportunities

To be the successful candidate, it is essential that you have

  • Excellent financial acumen with strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Strong interpersonal & relationship building skills with customers, colleagues and stakeholders 

  • A very high-quality focus, attention to detail and accuracy  

  • Excellent time management including the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities in a high-volume environment 

  • A keen desire to learn and grow 


Additional experience that would be advantageous: 

  • Familiarity with financial and cash flow statements 

  • Experience conducting financial analysis  

  • Knowledge of banking regulations, policies, procedures and the range of a bank’s products and services  

  • Understanding of the end-to-end lending process (consumer or business) 

  • Tertiary qualification in a business-related field
