We are on the hunt for a Senior Product Designer to make their mark in REA in this exciting new role within our design team. We are looking for someone who: 

  • Solves real problems and has a positive impact on the entire property experience

What we’re doing 

As part of the Residential Property Advertising Tribe you’ll play a key role in helping create advertising products that help Agents drive value and continue to win business. 

A few things you'll be doing day-to-day: 

  • Explore new ideas and creative solutions that surprise and delight our users and create a positive brand perception, maintaining our market-leading position.  

  • Understand business opportunities, user needs, competitive landscape, and technical constraints to deliver products to market that drive user satisfaction and business growth. 

  • Deliver world-class products and features for our users, leveraging methods such as sketching, prototyping, user interface design, motion and interaction design to raise the bar across our experiences. 

  • Discover more about our users and validate design solutions using qualitative and quantitative research techniques. 

  • Using your analytical mind to balance customer needs, business outcomes and technology constraints to drive the best experience possible  

  • Plan, prioritise and undertake 'just enough design' using a lean mindset to achieve goals and deliver on objectives 

  • Shape and deliver commercially feasible user-centric design solutions that meet team goals and business objectives. 

  • Present work and advocate best practices in giving and receiving feedback in regular design critiques to ensure consistency and quality outcomes. 

  • Mentor and coach emerging designers to grow their skills. 

 

What we’re looking for… 

  • Someone with a few runs on the board, 5+ years of experience designing products using industry standard design tools and just enough process to get the job done.   

  • Strong strategic designer, that is comfortable analysing problems using experimentation, analytics, data and qualitative research methods  

  • Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens. 

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and working productively in a fast paced environment to create impact. 

  • Great communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across multiple functions across REA 

  • Ability to map customer experiences from both an internal and external point of view using your Service Design toolkit 

  • Persuasively communicating design rationales and actively participating in critiques to drive high quality product outcomes. 

  • Interest in commercials and comfortable with diving into the numbers is a bonus
