About the role

This position is known internally as Team Leader, Business Customer Management Team.  Our Business Customer Management Teams (BCMTs) provide fulfilment operations support to our Business Bankers with the team consisting of Analysts, Associates and Senior Associates who support a localised hub of Business Bankers and customers by completing financial analysis, credit papers, annual reviews and the end-to-end loan application process.

As the Team Leader of our QLD North, you will report to the State Lead  and manage the QLD North Team.  Your key focuses will be:

  • Leadership: 1-on-1’s, training new staff, on-going coaching, performance management
  • Workflow management: Allocate work using a real time management program (ActiveOps), manage escalations, planning and reporting
  • Stakeholder engagement: Regular meetings with the bankers and sales teams to discuss pipeline, risk and issues
  • Our customers: ensure efficient and amazing service and a consistent one-way-same-way experience for our customers

 

As part of our QLD team, you can be based in Rockhampton, Cairns or Mackay. This is a full time, permanent position.

We are looking for a people leader with the right business banking experience to be able to train the team, have robust conversations with internal stakeholders and jump in and assist where needed.  This role also needs someone with a people first focus: able to get good outcomes for both customers and your team.  The skills vital to this role are:

  • Leadership; an unwavering focus on people capability and development and ability to coach and lead to achieve outstanding performance
  • A strong customer focus and drive
  • Extensive knowledge of Business Banking lending policies, procedures, products, services and systems
  • A demonstrated performance focus – able to work in a busy and deadline oriented environment
  • Ability to collaborate at a state level to achieve strategic outcomes.
