At Canva, our mission is to democratise design and empower creativity for anyone and everyone, on every platform. Inspired by a team of talented thinkers, an amazing culture and a remarkable growth trajectory – we’re out to change the world, one design at a time.
Since launch in August 2013, we have grown exponentially, amassing over 60 million monthly active users across 190 different countries who have created more than 6 Billion designs. We are one of the world’s fastest-growing technology companies and we have only achieved about 1% of what we want to do.
Developer Advocate, Ecosystem.
The Ecosystem group's mission is to deliver a developer platform where our developers can delight our customers with the right app at the right time to help them accomplish their jobs to be done. We do this by delivering a platform where Apps can be built and plugged into Canva.
You’ll be a developer advocate (sometimes known as developer evangelist, or developer relations) for the Canva platform and be responsible for growing & nurturing our developer community.
You’ll be working alongside the software engineers, product managers and designers who build the Ecosystem. You’ll also work with our technical writers who craft our developer messaging.
Your main responsibility at Canva will be to create and implement a strategy to grow and nurture Canva’s developer community. Some of the ways you’ll do this is by:
Connecting with and helping developers use our APIs and Developer Platform.
Writing developer facing news, example code, tutorials and working Apps - across various channels, written and video as appropriate - that will help attract and inspire developers to be successful with our platform
Put measurements in place to support business decisions for where and how Canva should invest in the third party developer platform. Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and technical writers as the voice of our developers and help steer our platform to meet their needs.
Being one of the first hires you will have input into how this function is established within Canva
