About the role

Join the Better Big Bank to help us keep the integrity and accuracy of the asset management information for all software assets across all environments in the bank. You’ll do this by following defined policies and processes to ensure that we are in compliance with supporting software contracts. You’ll help us optimise our licensing and the improve the value of the software assets in our environment.

Examples of responsibilities:

  • Carry out day to day software asset management activities to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Liaise with staff to determine their software requirements
  • Perform software deployments and removal.
  • Analyse software contracts an end user license agreements for application in our environments
  • Proactive engagement with business units, vendors and domains across IT.
  • Keep track of service lifecycle.
  • Assist with the development of software reports and templates.
  • Oversee and perform activities across the software lifecycle including analysing health and viability of services.

About you

  • Experience in Software Asset Management and software deployment tools (e.g. SCCM, BigFix, TAMIT, Flexera, snow).
  • Experience in software licensing concepts and lifecycle.
  • Strong experience in problem resolution.
  • Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to work towards and meet deadlines.
  • Specialist knowledge of the licensing used by several major software publishers
  • Experienced in interpreting software license agreements so that IT colleagues can understand their ongoing compliance requirements
  • Familiar with common procurement/sourcing processes
  • A working knowledge of external software audit practices.
