 About the role

The Team Manager role within our Loan Fulfilment division is responsible for ensuring that the team prepares high quality and accurate complex and non-complex loan and security documentation for the Bank’s business banking customers. The Team Manager’s key responsibilities and accountability relate to:

  • Providing effective leadership to their team, ensuring team members are engaged, have a motivating work environment, perform and provide customer focused and quality support to customers, partners and other departments  
  • Ensuring the team members produce high quality documentation including Letters of Offer for complex entities including companies, trusts, partnerships and associations; preparation of legal security documentation including mortgages, PPSR-related documents, Guarantees and various other deeds and agreements
  • Preparation of weekly workload and resourcing plan forecasts and attendance at departmental weekly planning cycle meetings
  • Managing and prioritising workflow to ensure service levels are achieved and urgent cases escalated.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with direct reports, customers and partners. 
  • Achieving financial and business objectives by managing resources; maintaining appropriate skill levels; and ensuring the team has simple processes, adequate controls to ensure legislative and regulatory compliance.

The Team Manager will report to the Senior Manager and will also work closely with other Bank stakeholders including other Senior Managers, Team Managers and Processing Officers.

What you will bring:

  • Experience in preparation of loan documentation including letters of offers and securities in a Processing or Legal environment.
  • Experienced leadership experience desirable, and a proven ability to capably lead a team remotely.
  • Proven ability to facilitate their team members’ training and individual development needs.
  • Sound coaching skills. 
  • Ability to achieve objectives with and through others, delegating appropriate tasks and empowering team members.
  • Highly developed time management skills, ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and perform under pressure. 
  • Advanced interpersonal communication skills, you’ll bring a strong ability to influence and build relationships
  • Proactive, innovative, and prepared to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Proven experience in leading an efficient and effective high volume and service level driven processing team is highly desirable.
  • Experience with performance-based software or similar
  • Proven experience of a wide variety of lending functions, processes and systems preferred.
  • Experience with Banking platforms RFS, COMMLAPS/LAPS or similar systems preferred.
  • Certificate IV in Frontline Management (desirable).
