About the role

Join a supportive team who enjoy sharing their learnings to enhance our web applications. In this role you will get the opportunity to play a key part in our transformation by being hands on in project delivery whilst designing and coding to enhance our banks web applications.

This a 12-month fixed term contract (you will receive an annual salary, accrue leave and get access to employee benefits).

This role can be based anywhere in Australia, and we are open to talking to people who would like to work remotely.

What you’ll be doing….

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy clearly documented code to a high standard in a variety of programming environments.
  • Develop in and mature secure, continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Deliver front end, server, and data layers of solutions, with opportunities to uplift applications through APIs, Micro Services, and strategic asset integration.
  • Participate in code reviews, release, and implementation planning.
  • Provide production support, monitoring and incident response.

About you

  • Previous experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Experience with Java, J2EE, Hibernate, Spring, JavaScript, Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, SQL, Ant, Maven.
  • Ideally you will have experience integrating applications with API’s and microservices.
  • Ability to work in an agile/waterfall environment as a well as comfortable using Jira/Confluence.
  • Exposure developing and deploying via AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • You’ll thrive in a changing environment, and you’ll enjoy thinking of creative solutions to implement with the user and future in mind.
