About the Role
Esri Australia Managed Cloud Services (MCS) delivers an Industry-Leading ‘Platform as a Service’ by leveraging automation, AWS infrastructure and our cloud expertise. The Cloud System Administrator provides day-to-day management and maintenance of our client’s hosted network and server infrastructure, ensuring stability of hosted environments. The role is focused on delivering an exceptional customer service experience for internal and external users/customers.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
A key component of this role is to ensure the Managed Cloud Services Team deliver a fantastic service across the entire platform that we deliver to the customer. This ranges from ArcGIS platform products to infrastructure. Being successful in this role involves developing core Esri ArcGIS product knowledge as well as cloud infrastructure and platform experience and skills. The Cloud System Administrator supports other MCS team members with projects and escalated issues as needed.
About You
Coming with MSP experience, you are keen to learn, develop and use your skills within GIS and in cloud technologies.
You have great communication skills and a client centric approach.
- Previous experience writing infrastructure as code, e.g., Terraform, YAML, JSON, etc.
- Experience using code repositories, such as Bitbucket/Github / Web server experience, such as IIS, Apache, Nginx, etc / Experience with configuration management applications (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
- Experience managing Postgres and SQL Server databases and monitoring query performance and tuning of databases
- Network management in a cloud hosted environment
