The Role 

We are seeking a senior software engineer with functional programming experience to join our growing technology team. With offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, the location of the role is flexible. There is also the option to have a remote/in-person hybrid working arrangement. You will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced company working within a cross-functional team to drive the design, development and release of products that deliver the company's vision and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Work within a cross-functional team to design and build modern cloud based applications to process and expose insights for voice data
• Collaborate with design and product teams to understand and expose new functionality
• Contribute to engineering discussions across our software platform
• Help mentor junior team members
• Implement best practices for security and performance

About You

• Demonstrated experience building scalable microservices running on modern platforms such as Kubernetes
• Experience with functional programming languages - preferably Elixir
• Thorough understanding of software patterns and practices
• Experience with integration with internal and external APIs
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Automated testing experience
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player and deliver high quality solutions
• Understanding of Event Driven architecture
• Knowledge of search technologies such as ElasticSearch desirable
• Knowledge of OAuth is desirable
