As Canva’s Paid Social Media Specialist you will be responsible for developing and executing a paid strategy to amplify our organic social media content. You’ll help Canva reach new audiences and build engagement with our existing community as we drive towards our ambitious 2022 global marketing goals. 
You’ll work collaboratively with peers across brand marketing, creative, PR & Comms, growth marketing and more to position Canva as a thought leader in design, and drive awareness, adoption and affinity across our 65+ million users. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Work with the social team to develop a global always on amplification strategy of organic social media content through media buying. 
  • Management of the always-on social media strategy to deliver against global KPI’s.
  • Develop an A/B testing strategy, continually analysing performance, trends and insights for maximum ROI across social platforms. 
  • Evangelise paid social media at all levels. Provide strategic direction and recommendations for social media campaign activations. 
  • Analyse advertising creative and provide direction on best practices for future social media creative.
  • Show a proactive mindset by continually optimising performance and looking for new opportunities for improvement of KPI metrics.
  • Work with the organic & paid social team to develop ongoing reporting cadences for the paid social strategy. 

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5+ years experience working in social media buying & analytics.
  • Experience with social media and data management tools (e.g. Sprout Social, Facebook business manager, Monday.com, Google Suite, Google Analytics, Looker, Canva) 
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make strategic data-driven decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to visually communicate data and present back to stakeholders. 
  • An exceptional communicator and relationship builder, with ability to interpret and relay data to varying internal and external audience needs. 
  • Expert knowledge of social media networks, and audience behaviour (Including, but not limited to; YouTube, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook, Instagram). 
  • A problem solver, with a drive to simplify and innovate on existing tools and processes.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and execute on simultaneous projects.
  • A self-starter with tenacity for execution and delivery, with the ability to adapt quickly to market trends and business priorities.
