About the role & team
We are looking for a Creative Operations Traffic Manager who can triage briefs through the creative process, assist in managing resource allocation and capacity planning for the Canva creative team and support the Operations team in implementing scalable processes and systems for a fast growing creative team. You will be integral to building an environment that fosters a culture of creativity, diversity of thought and innovation.
You will be part of the Canva Creative Team and work in conjunction with many other key roles within the Creative Team (Program Managers, Creative Directors, Designers, Copywriters Producers…). You will help raise awareness of the team’s work and engagement model and foster collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders.

About you 
As our Operations Traffic Manager, you will be responsible for managing workflow and briefs through the creative and production teams. You will have solid organisational and people skills with the ability to set priorities, problem solve, multi-task and work in a rapidly changing environment. You get excited about scheduling projects, managing project management tools, and working with Creative teams to help them achieve their goals.  Most of all you’re a great listener who cares deeply about creating a culture of creativity to help the team thrive. 

What you’ll do

  • Trafficking projects through the triage and resource allocation phase
  • Checking briefs as received through our Project management tool to assess priority, resource allocation required time to complete the project
  • Working with Program Managers to align on timings and resource allocation to support timelines
  • Trafficking ECD and CD approvals of briefs and debriefs
  • Ensuring Producers and Client Service Teams are briefing teams on time, and following up where necessary to keep planned work on track
  • Resolving work load conflicts with producers and client teams
  • Flagging resource blocks and where external support is required
  • Understanding timelines for work in progress
  • Flagging potential conflicts with other existing work, holidays, travel etc within the team and advising producers so timings can be altered
  • Predicts and escalate issues before they are problematic
  • Keeping master project management/traffic schedules up to date
  • Assisting In educating our internal clients on our briefing process & best practices
  • Coordinating all jobs to ensure that everyone is working in harmony and that priorities are clear and communicated effectively
  • Co-ordinating awards submissions

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years professional experience in Creative Agency or Marketing organisations
  • Experience in Project Management and Creative Resourcing Tools such as Monday, Jira & Slack
  • Cross-functional manager with experience working in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, environment
  • Solid organisation and people skills, with the ability to set priorities, problem-solve, multi-task and work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Self-driven, organised, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
