About the teamYou will be joining Canva's Brand Marketing team with a big mission to build the most loved brand in the world through world-class marketing programs that showcase the values and products of Canva through the lens of our community. Our team's success is based on leveraging research and insights that allow us to design groundbreaking creative that connects with the audience in the right place at the right time and creates a lasting impression. 
About the roleThe Global Head of Experiential Marketing will be responsible for the prioritization, strategy, scoping, and execution of experiential activations across all of our audiences. We're looking for a dynamic and creative leader with extensive experience in experiential marketing to lead this effort. You will report to the Head of Brand Marketing, and be a part of the BM leadership team. You will have an exciting opportunity to build and scale a world-class team, establishing high creative and measurement standards for how Canva shows up in the world. You will also play a highly cross-functional leadership role, working with other Brand Marketing leaders, Creative, Brand Media, Data & Analytics, as well as develop an agency strategy to support our events across the globe. 
Most of all, you will thrive in a fast-moving, fluid environment, and be passionate about the opportunity to shape experiential marketing at Canva, and empower the world to design. 

What you'll do

  • You will formulate and champion the strategy and plans to achieve Canva’s business targets and brand goals through customer-focused activations across industries and the globe. 
  • You will galvanize and empower the efforts of your teams, providing direction, mentorship and coaching.
  • You will hire and develop extraordinary experiential marketers, mobilizing them to execute your vision while positioning them to achieve their ambitious professional development goals.
  • You will establish a foundation of activation frameworks that will allow us to scale our event presence while leveraging community and local teams to execute. 
  • You will be the primary stakeholder in determining agency or AOR relationships for experiential. 
  • You will work with, marketing, community, social, and product leads to present new ideas, build cross-functional campaigns that delight customers, grow brand awareness and love, and deliver leads.

What we're looking for

  • You have 9+ years of experience as a marketing leader who is equally strategic and creative who has managed experiential strategy at the brand and campaign level.  
  • You have worked in agencies or have managed and worked with multiple agencies at the same time.  
  • You have a track record of scaling and developing large, high-performing and happy marketing teams to achieve effective and creative work
  • You’re tapped into pop culture such that you can bring partners, opportunities and talent to the table 
  • An energy giver with a positive outlook and the ability to influence your team leads, peers, and senior leaders across all company functions.
  • Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • A natural team player, with a strong track record of cross-functional leadership and partnership.
  • High emotional intelligence, empathy. A sense of humor is a must! 
  • Comfortable working in a distributed environment with team members in Sydney, San Francisco, Los Angeles and other markets.
