Where the team fits in

REA is evolving how it leverages data and technology to deliver benefits for customers. After the acquisition of Hometrack Australia in May-18 (recently re-branded into PropTrack).  Since this time the business has continued to grow, underpinned by an expanding set of services and capabilities we bring to our customers. 

PropTrack’s commercial team is the face of the PropTrack business with its customers. The Data Analyst role sits within the Client Analytics function within the commercial team.  The Client analytics team has become an important, unique and in demand offering of PropTrack in market, as a result we are now looking for an experienced data & analytics professional who can interface with our customers to help consult and solve analytical problems.

What the role is all about

  • Liaising and working collaboratively with PropTrack’s customers to help solve analytical business problems.
  • Working with customers on tasks from a wide breadth of analytical domains including modelling, data mining/analysis, reporting and data visualisation.
  • Presenting complex analytical outputs and results to all levels of an organisation.
  • Working with commercial leads and account managers to support client requests and working across a wide range of teams within REA to service these requests.
  • Bringing domain expertise to help in the design and build of new products and solutions to support PropTrack’s property analytics products, platforms and custom solutions in line with the growth strategy
  • Building a deep understanding of PropTrack’s products and enabling clients to optimise and make the best use of PropTrack’s current data analytics products and platforms (eg AVM, HTV, HPB).
  • Building deep relationship with key stakeholders within the Financial Services clients (Senior Management to analyst levels)

Who we’re looking for

  • Technical knowledge- Understanding of common analytical techniques such as sampling and experience of working in a data-rich environment with data mining techniques and predictive analytics, with use of tools such as SQL, R, Python.  Knowledge in common data visualisation tools such as tableau is also high desirable.
  • Domain Knowledge - A deep understanding of several or all of the following: data analytics, the property market, property data, property valuations, home lending and retail banking.
  • Commercial orientation – Commercially savvy, able to bring the best outcomes for the benefit of PropTrack business and clients alike.
  • Creative and analytical thinker - An ability to work through complex problems collaboratively, and to find practical and viable solutions to meet client needs and wants.
  • Client Focus - A mind-set that is always client first, and a proven track record in managing customer experience initiatives.
  • Relationship Influencer – the ability to build strong relationships with peers within in organisations, to solve problems and perspective of clients for mutually beneficial outcomes.
