Where the team fits in
Senior Product Manager – Customer Commercial Platform sits within the Advertising Portfolio of the Customer Product & Experience group, focusing on building and maintaining reusable capabilities that enable our customer products. This role sits in our Contracting squad, alongside our Purchasing squad.
The capabilities in the Customer Commercial Platform span several domains including product & pricing, purchasing, payments and billing. This role works with each of our market facing teams (Residential, Developer, Commercial, Media) to ensure our commercial platform is supporting the current and future needs of our customer products, and closely collaborates with our Salesforce team.
The remit of this role will include strategy, discovery and delivery of reusable capabilities, with a focus on ensuring products are shipped faster with a lower total cost of ownership. The role is accountable for improving our contracting and billing processes to reduce manual process and improve accuracy. The role will suit a tech savvy Product leader who has a real knack for strategic thinking and joining the dots cross functionally across several complex programs.
What the role is all about
Develop the OKRs and roadmap for the Customer Commercial Platform, ensuring the platform is evolving to meet the future needs of the business
Understanding the strategy and priorities across the Group to ensure we build capabilities necessary to create leverage, speed to market and deliver a connected customer experience
Ensure our Contracting and Billing processes are kept to a high standard, proactively managing risks
Work closely with Tech and Delivery leadership to establish tribe practices and cadences, including maintaining a high performing team with a great culture
Build close partnerships with our key internal stakeholder groups, understand their businesses, their customer’s needs, their environmental constraints, their tactical and strategic objectives
Shape stakeholder goals and products toward the capabilities and architecture of the platform so that they can make the most of it
Be an advocate and champion for the value that the platform delivers
Build and maintain relationships across different functions and teams to leverage group capabilities to ensure successful delivery of your product plans
Have fun tackling interesting problems with really great people
Who we’re looking for
Someone with a few runs on the board – extensive experience in Product Management / Product Development or equivalent
Someone who has worked on platforms and/or technical products
Strong team leadership and coaching experience
Demonstrated ability to develop strategies which address evidenced problems and deliver end to end
Comfortable moving between strategy and detail on a regular basis.
Excellent presentation, communication skills and ability to simplify complex problem spaces and anchor back to value to customer and REA
Powerful communicator and proven ability to influence senior stakeholders
Comfortable playing a leading role in technology focused initiatives with broad business impact
Should bring a growth mindset, exhibit resilience and appreciate how change can be enacted in a large organisation
